I am a stay at home mother of three daughters who knits any time I can! When I'm not driving them around or running errands, I am knitting, baking or gardening. I also have a very sweet husband who supports me in so many ways.
I have been knitting for about ten years consistently. I started after I had my first daughter and couldn't lose the weight I gained. Then I fell in love with her and with knitting. My sister and I ran a small cottage-type industry knitting baby sweaters for a few independent shops and friends. I "retired" from that business when I discovered I wasn't really making much money and, more importantly, knitting was becoming a chore and and no longer a joy.
I knit mostly for my family, although I do knit the occassional teacher's gift or charity item.
